Thread Lift
Thread lifting is a procedure performed to reposition sagging areas of the face—caused by genetic factors and/or aging—back to their original, youthful positions. Although commonly referred to as a “non-surgical facelift”, it is important to note that thread lifting does not involve releasing or tightening the ligaments (the key structures responsible for facial sagging). Therefore, it is not a complete alternative to surgical procedures such as brow lift, facelift, or neck lift.
Nevertheless, thread lifting remains one of the most effective minimally invasive methods for restoring a more youthful appearance to the face and neck by repositioning sagging tissues.
It’s important to understand that not all thread lifting procedures deliver the same results. The effectiveness of the treatment depends significantly on the type of threads used during the procedure.
The Most Commonly Used Thread Materials Today Include:
- PDO (Polydioxanone)
- PLLA (Poly-L-lactic acid)
- Silicone-based threads
